Is smoking allowed during the center hours?
Smoking is allowed only in a designated area, and participants need to notify staff when going on a smoking break.
What are the benefits of attending MCPA?

What does the enrollment process involve?
There are several steps to enrollment. They include completion of an application, a personal interview, and a current physical exam with the participant’s provider.
Can I drop off my loved one just when I need a break?
We do not provide drop-in respite care. Enrollment and scheduling are required so our team can prepare appropriately for each participant.
Does MCPA provide transportation?
Yes, MCPA provides round-trip or one-way transportation within our service area. The cost for one way is $10 and round trip is $20.
How much does it cost to attend?
$80 per day or $20 per hour. Transportation is billed separately at $20 round-trip / $10 one-way.
What are the payment options?
Typical funding options include CADI, CAC, DD, MR/RC, TBI or EW, VW waivers, Veterans Administration, long-term care insurance, HMOs, and private pay.
What are the program hours?
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Extended hours are sometimes available by arrangement.
Are meals provided?
Yes. A nutritious lunch and two snacks are included each day. Dietary restrictions and allergies are accommodated.
What kinds of activities take place each day?
A typical day includes a group music session, a visual arts workshop, a theater or movement activity, lunch and conversation, and either an outing or special event in the afternoon.
